The involvement of community in the design and creation of murals and other forms of public art has a long legacy. Murals have often been produced by communities of all kinds to beautify public space, bring people together, and sometimes communicate a political message. Ian Mulder has worked with many diverse community groups over the years in the design and production of murals, workshops, and community education initiatives. From First Nations and Metis communities, to community organizations like Change for Children, the Bissell Centre and iHuman, Ian has worked with hundreds of people of all ages to improve public space while honouring the interests of these diverse communities.
