Ian Mulder is a member of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Artist and Education Roster, and as such has completed several artist-in-residencies at various schools around Alberta. The focus of his educational programs and workshops is a student-centred approach that seeks to bring out the best in students of all abilities. The very nature of mural art enables persons of many different skill levels to become involved in meaningful and expressive ways, that ultimately create lasting and attractive pieces of public work for the school and community. Ian is often asked to give lectures on Public Art, the history of mural art, and the use of art as a tool of activism.
